and we're back...

1.  It's been way too long since my last post, my bad.

2.  I have been trying to post things about New York ever since I've gotten back and haven't yet.  There's just so much I could potentially write about, how do I narrow things down?  (I'm hoping questions like this will eventually be answered the more I blog and learn about things.)

3.  I've felt blah and not myself all day, actually multiple days... but especially today.  It sucks.  This is my attempt to force myself out of said funk.  But don't think I'm trying to make this a pity party, I'm not.  I'm just throwing it out there so it's written down and I have solid evidence.  This is also why I haven't posted in a while.  This funk is throwing off my game, I need to shake it.

So here's the deal

...sigh, and at this point in time my internet stopped working.  This is not my day.

However, I did get a nice bike ride to campus out of the deal to mooch off some wifi.  Anyway, I'm promising myself the New York post is coming soon.

Let's hope I think this is funny in the near future...

Since my last post my hard drive on my beloved MacBook Pro had to be replaced.  It didn't crash, it was just damaged and was causing my computer to move realllly slowwww.  So then, when I picked up my laptop my password no longer worked.  Next day had to call the Apple Store... no help.  Finally called Apple Support and they came through.  :)  Thus the lapse in posts.

So since last Friday, I have been getting very excited for my first New York trip which commences... TOMORROW.  It's 11:00 pm right now and I am not completely packed, have clothes still in the wash, have a skirt to sew, and would really like to paint my nails.  All this must happen before work tomorrow at 8 am.  Needless to say I should not be blogging right now and I will probably be up all night.  So I guess this will be short and sweet- glad I have my laptop back, but I must go.  Maybe I'll post during our 3 hour layover in Milwaukee.. ?!?  It's the opposite direction from us in Grand Rapids to New York, thus making our main flight to the big apple a little longer.  But lets be serious, we'll be so excited we won't even care that we're stranded in Wisconsin for a little bit.

So wish us safe travels & hope that everything goes well with our flights!

me, procrastinate!? guilty as charged.

I think about this quote all the time.  Jessica Hische is one of my favorite designers; I envy her talent, drive, success, and awesome attitude.  These words make me happy, but at the same time make me want to say... "but Jessica... I'd be pinning, hunting down cool design blogs, and crafting like a grama all day if I take this advice."  Which totally sounds great to me don't get me wrong- if only it payed the bills.  So until then I'll just keep dreaming that my job & the work I do while procrastinating will one day become one in the same.

By the way, just thought I'd mention... I'm going to New York City in a week!  It's my first time and I'm super pumped.  Elyse and I are going to visit our friend Mike who moved to the big apple after graduation.  We've got lots of stuff we'd like to do, and I know we're not going to want to leave.  :)
